    Makeup Brush Cleansing Towelettes

Published by Grace | Filed under Makeup Tools

Another Consultant whipped these out at a makeup party, and I was astounded. These towelettes make brush cleaning super easy and they’re great for makeup artists or consultants who apply makeup on others and need to go from person to person, using the same set of brushes. These are also just great for anyone that needs to keep their makeup brushes clean, but just don’t have the time for it. Cleaning your brushes on a regular basis makes your brushes last longer, and of course, kills germs and bacteria.

To use, take out one towelette and place in hand. Take your brush and sweep it back and forth across the towelette until no more residue remains. Let it sit to dry for 1-3 minutes before using or putting away.

I got these at Sally Beauty Supply, and signed up for their Beauty Club since I know I’ll be purchasing one of these every month, as well as a few other accessories like little spatulas and cosmetic wedges for my parties. They may be available at other Beauty Supply stores, but definitely call and ask before heading over there. Sephora also has makeup brush cleansing wipes, but they are pricier.

Regardless of which one you decide to use, if your brushes haven’t been cleaned in a while, these aren’t going to do the trick. Use a brush shampoo or cleanser first (my favorite is from MAC, but Sephora and Sally Beauty Supply have some decent ones), and then use these wipes to keep them clean.
